Delete your data

FilmTone has no user accounts. There is no email, no login, no server profile for us to delete. All your data lives on your device only. The steps below remove every trace of FilmTone from your phone.

1. Uninstall the app

Uninstalling FilmTone removes:

All your edits, projects, favorites, and recent photos list.
The randomly generated Firebase app instance ID (auto-deletes within a few days of uninstall per Google's Firebase Analytics retention policy).
Any locally stored unlock tokens (Pro entitlements will re-appear if you reinstall and tap "Restore Purchases").

iOS: long-press the FilmTone icon → Remove App → Delete App.
Android: long-press the FilmTone icon → Uninstall, or Settings → Apps → FilmTone → Uninstall.

2. Reset your Advertising ID (optional)

Even after uninstall, Google AdMob's anonymous advertising ID profile may persist on your phone. To opt out completely:

iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track". Optionally: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off "Personalized Ads".
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID".

3. Photos saved by FilmTone

Anything you exported to your gallery stays in your gallery (it's your photo, your choice). FilmTone never had a remote copy. Delete individual files from the Photos / Gallery app at any time.

4. Cancel a Pro subscription

Uninstalling does not cancel an active subscription with Apple or Google. Cancel separately:

iOS: Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions → FilmTone → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Google Play app → account icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → FilmTone → Cancel.

Apple and Google retain purchase records as required by their own policies and applicable tax / accounting law.

5. Email request

If you would like a written confirmation, email support@phomate.pro.vn with the subject "Delete data". We'll reply within 7 business days. Note we cannot delete the Firebase app instance ID server-side without it (Google rotates the ID itself on a schedule), but we can confirm in writing that no personal profile exists.
